According to the Calaveras Sheriff on January 29, 2018 deputies responded for the second day in a row to a reported disturbance at a residence on Flat Gulch road near Mokelumne Hill.
During the initial call for service it was reported that 33 year old Jason Andahl (of Mokelumne Hill was the suspect in an assault incident involving a female victim.
During that incident it was also reported that Andahl had threatened witnesses. Andahl was gone prior to deputies' arrival and he had not been located.
When deputies returned the next day, Andahl was contacted and arrested. It was determined that the female victim was also the protected party in a criminal protective order with Andalhl being restrained from any contact.
Andahl was also listed as being 'out on bail' from a prior assault incident/arrest in 2017.
In addition, while deputies were on scene conducting their investigation, a stolen truck from
Amador County was located and recovered from Andahl's possession.
Jason Andahl was booked into the Calaveras County Jail on two alleged separate cases for Corporal Injury, Criminal Threats, Violation of Court Order, Committing felony while on Bail, Stolen Vehicle, Possession of Stolen Property and Subsequent violation of Court order. Bail is $70,000.
