At a recent candidates forum appointed Calaveras Sheriff DiBasilio stated that the only reason deputies are leaving his department is due to wages.
We have been told by more than one person that the REAL reason deputies
are leaving Calaveras County Sheriff's Office is due to the unbearable CORRUPTION, which followed Kuntz regime with DiBasilio's appointment by Oliveira.

They don't want to clean it up. They like it that way.
Until we elect a total outsider to the position, we will never clea out the sewage that is Calaveras.
Nothing new about this.
It is all about the low pay and small signing bonus. Sheriff is a coward. He has resources with cannabis regs to get money and hire deputies. He is to much of a small minded group of fools who can't won't never see the light.
Thank you for bringing this up. EVERYONE I know that works in this area makes less than their counterparts in the valley and bay, somehow it's only a problem for the Sheriff? BS
