June 30, 2018 at 7 AM: A fire on Milton Road near Hunt Road in the Copperopolis area reported around 3 PM on June 29, 2018, caused CHP at Hwy 4 to prevent traffic on Hunt or Milton Roads due to the Waverly Fire.Although the fire is now 40% contained at 7000 acres, Hwy 4 and Milton Road are still partially closed. The fire also affected cattle and Hwy 26.
