As of July 16, 2018 around 10:30 AM the Ferguson Fire near Yosemite is 9266 acres and is only 2% contained.Smoke is filling the Yosemite Valley. BLM has closed the Merced River Recreation areas. A firefighter on a bulldozer died while trying to doze a fireline. His body is yet to be recovered.
