Did you know that the town of Arnold, located in our beloved Ebbetts Pass, was named after Bob Arnold. He and his wife Bernice built the Ebbetts Pass Inn in 1927.
Bernice was the first postmistress in 1934 when a post office officially was placed here in town.
In the 2000 census the population was 4214, but in the 2010 census it had dropped to 3843 basically due to a housing recession.
There is a photo of Bob Arnold, who was well-known for loving the local black bears, hand-feeding one while it stands on his back feet.
