Finally, after months and now years of talking, the Calaveras Supervisors have voted
to move forward on the two bridges washed out in Arnold.
The Blagen Road bridge currently on site is a temporary bridge, one-way and cannot be plowed. It needs to be replaced with a permanent bridge.
On Murphys Drive no work has been done at all, and it looks like Callaway is not happy about that, hoping to be ready to replace it by summer.
Studies and engineering have to be completed first, and so this vote was the first step.

Just because they voted for it, doesn't mean it will get done. Look at all the projects the former, now gone, public works director failed to do anything about.
Calaveras is clownsville.
