Due to a shortage of staff, the Angels Camp Police Department is announcing that they will be cutting back on staff hours at their main office.From May 1 through May 20, 2019 the lobby will be open Mon, Wed and Fri 8 to 5. If you arrive when it is closed, you may summon an officer with the call box next to the door.

They need to cut all staff; and relinquish control to the Sheriff. So dumb Angels has their own police force then raises water rates to pay for them.
