On August 25, 2019 around 4:25 PM, per the CHP report, Kevin Horigan (59) of Murphys was driving a 2013 Mazda on Hwy 4 near Williams Street.
Janet LynchGillespie (65) of San Jose was
driving a 2014 Subaru the opposite direction on Hwy 4.
Horigan crossed the double yellow line for an unknown reason, causing a head-on collision with LynchGillespie, and both ended up with major injuries.
Horigan was arrested at the scene and was then transported to Doctors Hospital in Modesto for treatment of his major injuries. Alcohol and or drugs are believed to be a factor in this collision.
Lynch Gillespie was transported to Modesto Memorial Hospital for treatment of her major injuries. This collision is still under investigation.
