October 9, 2019: Residents in Ebbetts Pass woke up this morning to see that power has not yet been cut in the area.
PG&E may be turning off this grid at
noon, depending on wind and moisture in the air. Be prepared! We may not be out of the woods yet, as far as spending days in the dark.
Bret Harte High School, Michelson School and Meadowmont Shopping Center will be open during the daytime hours as resiliency centers if the power is shut off, according to Supervisor Callaway, but we haven't confirmed it with Meadowmont.
Meadowmont Pharmacy has stated they will be closed if the power is shut off. The True Value Hardware at Meadowmont Center will be open with limited services available. Will all of the restaurants in the shopping center be open? Only if they have good generators!
