According to CHP on September 29, 2019 Dan Tzur (60) of Menlo Park was driving a 2002 Ford Mustang on Hwy 4 near
Stockton Road in Angels Camp.
Mathew Steele (42) of Hayward was driving a 2010 Camaro in the opposite direction when Tzur crossed over the double line for an unknown reason.
Tzur's car spun out of control when they hit head-on and off the roadway, causing him fatal injuries. He was declared dead at the scene by the Calaveras Coroner.
Steele and his passenger Kristina Steele (40) of Hayward were taken to Modesto Memorial Hospital with moderate to major injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
