On January 2, 2020 at approximately 10:10 PM CHP assisted the Calaveras County Sheriff's Office with a vehicle pursuit on Hwy 26 near the
San Joaquin County line.
The driver was allegedly intoxicated and fled from a deputy who tried to stop him. A K-9 unit and a helicopter were dispatched to assist in the capture of the driver.
Finally, a spike strip was set out and flattened 3 of his tires. He was then arrested without further incident. Reportedly methamphetamine was located inside the vehicle.
Ronnie Guy Young, (51) of Manteca was arrested.
