As of May 8, 2020 Calaveras County Supervisors have rescinded the total stay-at-home
orders and are allowing many businesses to re-open.
However, this does not include overnight lodging or rentals. Supervisors made this decision after listening to various recordings of business owners, some of whom were tearful about possibly losing their business.
One woman in Murphys was especially emotional in her message to the board, speaking of their tourist trade.
