Annabelle Carmen Jordan (90) of White Pines, passed away on May 20, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was born December 25, 1929 to Noel and Ruth James in Gridley.
She moved to White Pines as a young girl, where her father worked for Blagen
Lumber Company.
During her time attending Bret Harte High School and while she was in college Annabelle also

They were married in 1949 and built their own house in White Pines in the following years. Annabelle was the postmistress in Avery until she retired in the 90's to travel with her husband, Glen.
Annabelle cherished her family, being outdoors and traveling with Glen. They took many memorable motorcycle and camping trips throughout California and the United States.
She had her own motorcycle and rode it to work, around town and in the high Sierras. Camping in the mountains with her family, as well as riding her quad across the Arizona desert, were some of Annabelle's favorite activities.
She and Glen were part of the Mother Lode Model A Club and she would wear 1920's clothing to their functions.
Boating and waterskiing with family and friends were also among her fondest memories.
Annabelle is survived by her brother George (Carol) James of Martinez, her four beloved children Jim (Esther) Jordan of Waxahachie, Texas, Tone (Janet) Jordan of Avery, Tim (Linda) Jordan of Southern California and Tami Ruisi of Arnold, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
