On September 20, 2020 Calaveras Sheriff deputies arrested Nicholas Andrew Hart (22) of Arnold at his residence on Meadow Drive.
Hart was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for alleged Causing Harm or Death to an elderly dependent, a felony, and for Contempt of Court: Breach of Peace, a misdemeanor.

Free Drive through flu shots
On October 15, 2020 from 9 AM to 4 PM a drive-through flu clinic will be held at Calaveras High School in San Andreas.
Free shots are available for those wearing masks, staying 6 feet apart and having loose clothing with arm exposed. There is no charge.

Turpin was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for alleged Possession of a Controlled Substance for sale and violation of probation, both felonies.
Arnold man arrested
On September 10, 2020 Calaveras Sheriff deputies arrested Anthony Delbert Fults (20) of Arnold at the Sheriff's Office in San Andreas.
Fults was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for alleged Vehicle Theft, 2nd degree burglary and burglary, all felonies and for Petty Theft, a misdemeanor.

after five days, the Creek Fire that started at Shaver Lake, has absolutely no containment.
It is around 176,000 acres with 60 homes and 277 mixed commercial and residential destroyed so far.

The power came back on around 1 PM on September 9, 2020 after being off since around 11 PM on Monday the 7th.

Creek Fire near Shaver Lake explodes with ash and smoke
September 5, 2020: During the afternoon, residents in the Ebbetts Pass area of Calaveras County became concerned when ash began falling.
Smoke and ash from the Creek Fire, near Shaver Lake appear to have been the cause. That fire seemed to explode suddenly. The fire seemed to be closer than it actually is.

According to CCWD on September 9, 2020 they will be replacing a Reducing Valve and water will be turned off for a few hours.
When it is turned back on, the area will need to boil their water for 2 days or until CCWD orders the Boil Advisory to be ended.

September 1, 2020 at 3:45 PM: A fire has been reported off Phoenix Lake Road in Sonora.
Several engines, water tenders and air support are responding. It is a residential structure and it is being knocked down quickly by crews at the scene.
Mountain Ranch man arrested
On August 31, 2020 Calaveras Sheriff deputies arrested John Allen Logg (48) of Mountain Ranch at the county Sheriff's Office in San Andreas.
Logg was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for allegedly Failing to Register as a Sex Offender and Violation of Parole, both felonies and for being Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Illegal Paraphernalia, both misdemeanors.
Missing girl located
BLM bans all fires and target shooting
As of August 30, 3030 the Mother Lode BLM has issued more restrictions on fire danger in its jurisdiction.
No fires or target shooting are allowed for the remainder of the year, at least until it rains.
