If you've ever wondered where Black Friday got its name, it goes way back.
In fact, its origins come from slavery. The day after Thanksgiving was when slave traders would give discounts
to plantation owners to help them prepare for winter with chopping wood, etc.Hence, the FIRST BLACK FRIDAY SALE began!!!
Then it was used by cops to talk about the heavy pedestrian and vehicle traffic the day after Thanksgiving. Now it is called that because businesses consider it a day when they can begin to get into the black, instead of the red.
