Couple fighting causes crash on Hwy 4
December 30, 2021 at 2 PM: A collision has been reported apparently caused by a couple in the car fighting.
Vehicle was going side to side before crash on Hwy 4 at Angels Road in Vallecito.

Assault with firearm arrest in West Point
On November 4, 2021 Calaveras Sheriff deputies arrested Cory Allen Craig (44) on Lily Gap Road in West Point.
Craig was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for alleged Assault with a Firearm, Threatening a Crime with Intent to Terrorize and willful cruelty to a child.
Battery arrest at Mark Twain Hospital
On November 6, 2021 Calaveras Sheriff deputies arrested Dylan Ray Mills (27) at Mark Twain Hospital in San Andreas.
Mills, along with James Elisio Robinett, Jr. (19) were booked into the Calaveras County Jail for alleged Battery with serious bodily injury.

After an emergency evacuation was needed in the Santa Cruz Mountains, Calfire has apologized to residents for the Estrada Fire.
They were doing a favor for a retired fire captain by control burning his land when the fire escaped and burned 174 acres, threatening several homes.
