According to CHP on April 17, 2021 Leslie Simmerman (61) of Manteca was riding a 2017 Harley Davidson motorcycle, with passenger
Lisa Gumm on Hwy 26 near Double Springs.Gaberiel Kinney (30) of Modesto was driving a 2020 Ford Transit Van when Simmerman allowed the Harley to cross over the yellow lines.
Kinney attempted to avoid the collision, but the motorcycle collided with the van, causing major injuries to both riders. They were flown to separate hospitals in Modesto.
