Grass fire in Copperopolis

  UPDATE:  Fire is now contained.

UPDATE:  Forward progress has been stopped. Air support is cancelled. 

  UPDATE:  Fire is approximately 1/4 acre in size at this point.  Requesting air support as homes may be in danger.

  September 21, 2021 at 12:45 PM:  A grass fire has been reported on Basket Court in Copperopolis, near Lake Tulloch.

    Several engines and water tenders are responding.  This was an illegal burn pile.
