On November 28, 2021 Calaveras Sheriff deputies arrested Victor Gail Janssen (33) of San Andreas on Pope Street.
Janssen was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for alleged Assault with a deadly weapon, not a firearm and for Obstructing a Peace officer.
November 27, 2021 at 12 Noon: A Toyota Corolla has run off Phoenix Lake Road outside Sonora and down into a ravine.
The car ended up on it's wheels but the driver did not survive the collision.
November 26, 2021 at 2:55 PM: A traffic collision has been reported on Ponderosa Road at Twain Harte Drive in Twain Harte.
Several vehicles have stopped to help. An ambulance is responding to the scene.

Beginning on November 29, 2021 Cal Fire plans to do a controlled burn south of Big Trees State Park.
Apparently they believe this will prevent fires!

November 23, 2021 at 8:50 AM: An injured fawn has been reported on Phoenix Lake Road at Bear Cub Drive in the Phoenix Lake area.
Why can't drivers slow down and use deer warning whistles?? Poor innocent animals!
The Ahmad Arbery case was just sent to the jury for deliberation.
It will likely take a long time since there are so many counts and 3 defendants.
Apparently the old Jenny Lind Fire Station was converted into a marijuana grow warehouse.
Law enforcement served a warrant on the building and found 266 plants growing there. One suspect was arrested at the scene.
November 21, 2021 at 3:35 PM: A fire has been reported in a yard at Hwy 4 and Moran Road in Arnold.
Calfire has been notified.

As of a few moments ago, the jury in the murder trial of Kyle Rittenhouse returned a verdict.
They found him NOT GUILTY of all charges.

No injuries have been indicated. Apparently a truck went down the hill.

November 8, 2021 at 8:15 AM: A dog has been struck by a car on Hwy 26 at Silver Rapids in Rancho Calaveras.
A woman in a Jeep has stopped and is talking to the injured dog. CHP is responding.
On November 4, 2021 Calaveras Sheriff deputies arrested Cory Allen Craig (44) on Lily Gap Road in West Point.
Craig was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for alleged Assault with a Firearm, Threatening a Crime with Intent to Terrorize and willful cruelty to a child.
On November 6, 2021 Calaveras Sheriff deputies arrested Dylan Ray Mills (27) at Mark Twain Hospital in San Andreas.
Mills, along with James Elisio Robinett, Jr. (19) were booked into the Calaveras County Jail for alleged Battery with serious bodily injury.
On Sunday November 7, 2021 the SF 49ers will be at home in Santa Clara and welcome the Arizona Cardinals at 1 PM.
The Cardinals at 7-1 and the Niners at 3-4 so far this season.
On November 9, 2021 the Calaveras Supervisors will again hold an informational meeting

November 1, 2021 at 12 Noon: A driver reported that his car slid on the rocks in the roadway on Copper Cove Drive at Arrowhead Road in Copperopolis.
No injuries have been indicated. A county road crew has been requested to clear the rocks.
