UPDATE at 5 PM: Some engines have been canceled, so they must be getting it under control.
UPDATE: Fire is now 50 acres. Evacuation warnings on Jenni Ct. Jacksonville Road and Bell Rooney Drive and Hwy 108.UPDATE: May have to shut down power in the area. Could affect the entire county. This is just behind the casino.
UPDATE: Jenni Ct. residents are being told to shelter in place. Two more tankers have been requested for this fire. More crews and water tenders are also being dispatched.
UPDATE: About 5 acres has now burned across the tracks.
July 21, 2022 at 2:20 PM: A grass fire has been reported on Hwy 108 running up to the RR tracks and Chicken Ranch Road.
About 1 acre in size at this time. Air attack responding to the scene.
