According to CHP on November 30, 2022 around 2:30 PM a 59 year old female driver from Mokelumne Hill was northbound on Railroad Flat Road at an unknown speed in a
2005 Subaru Forester.She failed to follow the curve and her vehicle left the roadway and onto the east shoulder, then apparently hit a tree.
She then turned back to the left and across the roadway onto the west shoulder where the vehicle impacted another tree.
The driver was trapped due to the damage to the vehicle and after a lengthy extrication she was removed from the vehicle transported in a life flight to Modesto Memorial Hospital.
Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. The name is being withhelf pending notification of next of kin.
