Three arrests in one day

    According to the Calaveras Sheriff, on April 2, 2023 around 1:15 AM deputies contacted two vehicles parked behind

Starbucks in Valley Springs.

   The passenger suspect Ezra Phillip Land (36 of Mokelumne Hill) had an open box of drug paraphernalia in his lap, according to the Sheriff.

   Both the driver suspect Amber Rose Strano (22 of Avery) and the passenger were awakened by deputies.

   During a search deputies discovered Xanax pills, methamphetamine, pipes and syringes. Both were charged with being under the influence of a controlled substance.

   Both Land and Strano were booked into the Calaveras County Jail/

   Later in the day a deputy observed suspect Christopher Wayne Clements (31 of Arnold) walking in San Andreas.  He had an outstanding warrant and the deputy discovered two shotgun shells, a short barrel shotgun, high capacity magazine, blasting caps and Fentanyl and a backpack with three different social security cards.

   Clements was also booked into the Calaveras County Jail.
