   An ambulance is responding to the scene.

    After burn permits were suspended for 2023 yesterday, a giant plume of smoke rose above

ALL FIRE PERMITS suspended

    DO NOT BURN!!  All burn permits are now suspended until further notice.  So many private burns escape and we do not need any more fires.

   NO BURNING 2023!!  Thank you CAL FIRE! 

Loose goats on Milton Road

    June 16, 2023 at 8:30 AM:  Several goats are reportedly loose on Milton Road at Jenny Lind Road in Valley Springs.

   It isn't yet clear who the owner is, but be extra cautious if in the area.

Rocks and Gravel on Hwy 12

    June 14, 2023 at 3:20 PM:  Rocks and gravel have spilled onto Hwy 12 after a big rig rock hauler blew a tire at Hwy 12 and Double Springs Road.

  The semi pulled over, but be extra cautious for the rocks on the roadway.

Loose cow on Parrotts Ferry Road

    June 13, 2023 at 9 AM:  A cow is reportedly out on Parrotts Ferry Road near Natural Bridges outside Vallecito.

   CHP is attempting to locate the owner.

Car Fire becomes grass fire

   June 12, 2023 at 3:30 PM:  A car fire at Lake Camanche has become a grass fire on the Amador County side of the lake.

   Several engines and water tenders are responding to the scene. 

Ebbetts Pass Hwy 4 now open

    After a lot of hard work by Caltrans, Hwy 4 over Ebbetts Pass is now open to the public.

    A lot of snow was moved out of the way. Enjoy!!

    June 10, 2023 at 9:20 AM:  A car has reportedly struck a telephone pole at Hwy 12 and Pettinger Road in Burson.

   It isn't yet known if there are injuries.

Removing PGA's tax exempt status?

    As a result of the deal between the PGA and Saudi Arabia, John Garamendi has introduced a new bill in Congress.

   It will remove the tax exempt status from the PGA.  Most were not even aware that the exempt status would extend to Saudi Arabia.  

Overdose death on Hwy 4

       Apparently the body found at an empty house on Hwy 4 turned out to be a likely overdose and was actually found in the little trailer behind the house.

   A local homeless man, he was well known to the community walking up and down Hwy 4.

Car vs post office in Arnold

    June 7, 2023 at 12:30 PM:  A car has reportedly struck the post office building in Arnold and then left the scene.

   CHP is responding. No injuries have been indicated.

New fire not far from Milton fire

    June 7, 2023 at 11:25 AM:  Another fire has been reported, this one at 26 Mile Road and Sonora Road, not far from the Milton Fire.

   Stanislaus fire personnel are responding to this one.

Rollover in Twain Harte

    June 5, 2023 at 11:50 AM:  A truck has reportedly rolled over into the creek at Kewin Mill Road and Big Hill Road in Twain Harte.

   Apparently the truck is suspended by cables from the bridge.  Emergency vehicles are responding. Possible hit and run caused.

SUV vs tree fatal

    June 3, 2023 at 8 AM:  An earlier crash of a SUV vs a tree has been reported on Quartz Mine Road in Mountain Ranch.

   One person did not survive the collision, which was apparently on private property. Emergency personnel responded to the scene.

Fire at Camanche

    May 2, 2023 at 1:35 PM:  A grass fire has been reported on Camanche Parkway at Camanche.

   Approximately 1/2  acre in size, several engines and water tenders are responding.
