Drug arrest in Valley Springs

    According to the Calaveras Sheriff, at approximately 12 Noon on August 31, 2023, deputies contacted Joseph Bleak at a residence in the

5000 block of Rippon Road.   

   Initially the contact was due to violation of his probation after release from custody.  A search of his vehicle unveiled a 66 grams of fentanyl individually packaged for sale (estimated at about 600 individual doses).

   In addition over 17 grams of methamphetamine (about 170 individual doses) and drug sales paraphernalia for distribution.

   Bleak was booked into the Calaveras County Jail. The case is still under investigation.
