Marijuana thieves not too bright?

    The Calaveras Sheriff easily arrested 4 men in Mountain Ranch during a

marijuana theft on October 29, 2023 at a field on Murray Creek Road.

   One was caught right near the cut fence opening, the next one was smoking and deputies could smell his smoke and he was caught. Another was hiding in a tree nearby.

   One failed to comply with deputies and was bitten on their extremity by the drug dog and then taken into custody.

  All were booked into the country jail and now face multiple charges.
