Another shooting in West Point

    On January 20 at around 9 AM, per the Calaveras Sheriff, deputies were dispatched to a report of vehicle

vandalism on Main Street in West Point.

   Allegedly a prior altercation had occurred the night before between the victim and 36 year old Corbin Adams.

   A physical dispute apparently ensued and a shot time later gunfire was heard and damage was found on the victims vehicle.

   At approximately 12:30 PM another call was receives from the same location and deputies arrived to find the victim in the driveway with a gunshot wound to a lower extremity. He was transported to an out of area hospital for treatment.

   When deputies arrived at the hospital, Corbin Adams had sought treatment and was admitted, claiming he had been stabbed by the victim the night before.
