Arrest at Camanche campground

    On June 8, 2024 Calaveras deputies were dispatched to the Moccasin campground at

Lake Camanche South Shore.

   Upon arriving, he heard a gunshot.  Multiple calls to 911 reported shots. Apparently a conflict arose over a minor vehicle accident and all those nearby ran for cover as shots rang out.

   Arrested was Ismael Viveros (28) after a search by CHP, Amador and Calaveras deputies. He was booked for alleged attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, felony criminal threats and felony participation in a street gang.

  A "NO BAIL" enhancement was applies to the arrest due to his connection with a street gang. No one was reported injured in this incident.
