BLM issues more fire danger restrictions

    As of July 24, 2024 BLM has increased fire restrictions in Central California due to high fire

danger.

    No campfires, BBQ's or open flame of any kind, even in developed campgrounds.

    No target shooting.

    No motorized vehicles off BLM designated roads or trails.

   No tools powered by internal combustion engines off BLM disignated roads or trails (including chainsaws or lawnmowers)

   No smoking, except within an enclosed vehicle or building, or at a developed recreation site or other designated areas.

   No welding or operating acetylene or other torch with open flame.

   Anyone found guilty of violating a fire prevention order may be fined not more that $100,000 and/or imprisonment for not more than 12 months.

   Restitution for total fire suppression and damage costs incurred may be borne by the trespasser.

Thank goodness! All of these restrictions should be effective June 1 every year.

I hear that calfire isn't even enforcing the rules they sent to the press last week. they say call us if it causes a fire. bad news
