Fire near Mokelumne Hill

are in place in the area.

  July 23, 2024 at 7 AM:  A grass fire that was reported around 2:30 AM is burning near Hwy 26 and Jesus Maria Road outside Mokelumne Hill.

    Details on how many acres are unknown, but Hwy 26 is closed at Jesus Maria Road. Reporting party indicated
it was a large fire. 

The cause of this fire is not yet known.
