UPDATE: Called the Ace Fire, it was determined to be an arson case and the suspect
was picked up by Calaveras deputies and arrested.David Cunningham (39) of Burson is the alleged suspect of the fire that caused 16.3 acres to burn.
August 21, 2024 at 4:40 PM: A grass fire has been reported at Hwy 12 and Pine Street in Valley Springs.
Several engines, water tenders and dozers are responding to the Ace in Valley Springs.
