UPDATE October 3, 2024 at 7:50 AM: At last report, the Peak Fire near Herring Creek Reservoir is around 25 acres and is 10% contained.
October 2, 2024 at 2:40 PM: A fire has been reported in the Stanislaus National Forest off Hwy 108 near Herring Creek Reservoir in Pine Crest.
Several engines, water tenders, and air support are responding. Fire is currently around 10 acres in size.
