November 20, 2024 at 7:50 AM: A traffic collision has been reported on Hwy 49 at Airport Road in San Andreas.
A white bug truck and a black truck are involved. It isn't yet known if there are injuries.

Arrest at Burson Market
On November 15, 2024 Calaveras deputies responded to a report of alleged felony Threats to intimidate a witness at the Burson Market.
Tony James Soloman (46) of Campo Seco was booked into the Calaveras County Jail additionally for alleged Hit and Run and injuring a spouse or cohabitant. Three outstanding warrants had been issued.
Assault with a Deadly Weapon in Arnold
On November 17, 2024 at 1:35 AM Calaveras Sheriff deputies responded to a report of an alleged Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
The Sheriff's report indicates is occurred on Manuel Road in Arnold. No other details are available.
Winter Storm Warning
The weather bureau has just issued a storm weather warning for the western sierras tomorrow, likely in Ebbetts Pass.
Starting Tuesday through Wednesday, snow is expected to reach 3000'. Be extra careful if on the raodways.

Building struck on Hwy 4
November 18, 2024 at 10:35 AM: A building was reportedly struck by a vehicle on Hwy 4 near Henry Street in Arnold.
Apparently the vehicle left the scene and it is now a hit and run collision.
Chains required on Hwy 4
November 18, 2025: Chains are required on Hwy 4 at Tamarack due to snow overnight.
Always carry chains if headed for the resorts. Drive carefully.

Man dies in Calaveras Sheriff custody
On Sunday November 10, 2024 at 8:06 PM, officers at the Calaveras County Jail found an unresponsive incarcerated male.
Although life saving measures were attempted the inmate died. His name was Benjamin Nava (43) of Valley Springs.
Cows on Dogtown Road
November 13, 2024 at 10:30 AM: Black cows are reportedly in the roadway on Dogtown Road outside Angels Camp.
Be extra cautious until authorities can find the owner and clear the roadway.
West Point man arrested
On November 12, 2024 Calaveras Sheriff deputies arrested Jordan Fox Peters (28) of West Point.
Peters was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for allegedly Threatening with the Intent to Terrorize and being Prohibited from possessing ammunition, both felonies, along with other charges.

November 10, 2024 at 11:15 AM: A car has reportedly overturned on Hwy 108 at Old Wards Ferry Road in Sonora.
One person was pinned in their vehicle, but injuries are minor in this two vehicle involved collision.
Firarm arrest in Wallace
On November 7, 2024 Calaveras Sheriff deputies arrested Kyle Reed Bracken (67) on Hwy 12 near Wallace.
Bracken was booked into Calaveras County Jail for allegedly three felonies involved assault and possession of drugs with a firearm and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Angels Camp to appoint City Administrator
At their November 12, 2024 City Council meeting Angels Camp has appointing a new City Administrator on the Consent Agenda.
How long that will last is hard to say. The City seems to have problems keeping good people in that position.

Mokelumne Hill woman arrested
On November 4, 2024 Calaveras deputies arrested Terry Sue Rueger (58) of Mokelumne Hill on Hwy 49 and Campo Seco Road.
Rueger was booked on alleged DUI with bodily injury and DUI .08 with bodily injury, both felonies.

Firearm assault in Railroad Flat
On November 1, 2024 Calaveras Sheriff deputies booked Margaret JoAnn Williams (60) of Railroad Flat into the Calaveras County Jail.
Williams is alleged to have assaulted a person with a firearm and made threats using a firearm, both felonies.

Car over cliff on Parrotts Ferry Road
November 6, 2024 at 4:30 PM: A car has reportedly gone over the cliff on Parrotts Ferry Road near Porcina Way. An ambulance is responding to the scene.
The car after crashing with another went around 300 yards down the cliff before stopping. Fire rescue is attempting to remove her from the car.

Avery woman arrested
On October 31, 2024 Calaveras Sheriff deputies arrested Megan Elizabeth Bortz (33) of Avery on Blagen Road in Arnold.
Bortz was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for alleged infliction of corporal injury on a co-habitant and for misdemeanor exhibition of a deadly weapon other than a firearm.
House fire in Rancho Calaveras
November 4, 2024 at 9:40 AM: A house fire has been reported on Rippon Road in Rancho Calaveras.
Several engines have been dispatched to the scene.
Trees blocking Murphys Grade Road
November 4, 2024 at 9:25 AM: In what appears to be a hit and run, several trees have been knocked down and a possible overturned vehicle have been reported on Murphys Grade Road near French Gulch Road.
Some drivers have been trying to clear the roadway. CHP is en route to the scene.
