    April 9, 2025 :  Trump has ordered a pause on most tariffs this morning.

   Now the market is up Dow 1600 points.

In case you didn't know....

   A TARIFF is a tax that we will have to pay.

DOW down another 2011 points

   and the NASDAQ was down nearly 1000.  What next? 

   What more damage can Trump do? Oh, he'll think of something!

Big snow in Bear Valley....rain in Arnold

    March 31, 2025:  The snow is blowing hard in Bear Valley this morning.  Chains are required at Cottage Springs on Hwy 4.

    It's still too warm to snow in Arnold  where its raining.

Collision on Hwy 12

    March 29, 2025 at 8 AM:  A traffic collision has been reported on Hwy 12 at Southworth Drive in the Burson area.

   An ambulance and two tow trucks are responding. One vehicle is in water in the ditch.

Destruction Derby forms available

    The 2025 Calaveras County Fair will again end on May 18, 2025 with the popular Destruction Derby.

   Applications to participate and tickets to this years event are now available at the fair office or online.

Vance headed for GREENLAND

    On March 26, 2025 VP Vance announced that he would not be sending his wife to Greenland to take it over after all.

   He has decided that he needs to go in order to protect her, the Greenland residents and the USA.

Collision in Copperopolis

    March 25, 2025 at 4:20 PM:  A collision has been reported on Hwy 4 at Telegraph in Copperopolis.

   No injuries have been indicated. A tow truck is responding.

Three car collision on Hwy 108

   March 19, 2025 at 12:40 PM:  A three car collision has been reported on Hwy 108 at Monte Vista Road in Sonora.

   It isn't yet known if there are any injuries. 

Hit and run car door in Arnold

    March 19, 2025 at 10:45 AM:  A car parked on Blagen Road opened their car door and a passing car struck it.

   The vehicle kept on going.  CHP is investigating as a hit and run. No injuries are indicated.

Collision in Burson

    March 19, 2025 at 8 AM:  A traffic collision has been reported on Hwy 12 at Messing Road in the Burson area.

   No injuries have been indicated, but neither vehicle is driveable. Debris is all over the roadway.

Chains required in Murphys

    March 14, 2025:  Caltrans is requiring chains on Hwy 4 at Murphys this morning.

    Drive extra carefully in the mountains today.

Tesla spins out in Arnold

    March 14, 2025 at 11 AM:  A Tesla has reportedly spun out into the snow at Pine Drive and Country Club Drive in Arnold.

   Slow down if you are headed for the snow country of Ebbetts Pass. A tow truck is responding.

    Marcy 13, 2025:  Chains are now required on Hwy 4 above Arnold.

    Drive carefully if headed to Bear Valley to ski or board.

   Major injuries have been indicated for a man and a dog.

Multi vehicle crash on Hwy 88

    February 16, 2025 at 10:50 AM:  A multi vehicle collision has been reported at the chain control area on Hwy 88.

   A pedestrian was first thought to be involved, but she actually had fallen and hit her head.  Emergency personnel are responding.
